Singapore's best free outdoor playground: Far East Organization Children's Garden at Garden by the Bay

I don't know about others, but I feel incredibly blessed to live in Singapore.  How many countries in the world have parks like ours?  Clean, warm, beautiful, well-kept and best of all free.  In Singapore's best park, Garden by the Bay lies Far East Organization Children's Garden which houses a playground which in my humble opinion is the BEST in Singapore and it's completely FREE.

It's near to Satay by the Bay where you could tuck into a good meal after play or pop by Marina Barrage which is a short stroll away.  The 2 conservatories are also near to the playground, which is another possible activity after or before play.  I heard a Chinese commenting after taking a walk around "How fortunate are children in Singapore?" Well, how fortunate are we!

Going in from the entrance, you will see this large wet play area where jets of water dances to music.  See how the little lion dancer enjoys himself to the core!  The area is designated for kids aged 6 to 12, but well, who cares!

There is a kids' open shower and the toilets are relatively clean and dry.

Next to the wet play area is a dry playground for toddlers up to 3 years. It's relatively empty when I visited.  Most of the kids are enjoying themselves in the wet play area.

If you go with small kids and still want them to have fun getting wet, there is a small wet play area for those younger.

The Marina Bay Sands forms an impressive backdrop to the playground.
Kids make friends so easily.  I realized by watching him that the most important thing is to enjoy what you are doing and soon, people will join you.  I saw him running wild and free, laughing and squealing.  Soon, 3 older children had surrounded him and joined him in the fun.  He's leading them and they are showing him how to play.

While there, make sure you also check out the tree houses.  It's connected by a series of suspension bridges and is connected to more playground on the upper level.

Which other playground in Singapore has such nice landscaping and view?

Lots of obstacles and play stations here that are sure to bring out the
gymnast in your kid.

Now you understand why I said it's the best?

If you drive, park at the third carpark at Satay by the Bay as it would be the nearest carpark to the playground.  It's an open air carpark so be sure to prepare for sudden downpour.  There is a small cafe inside the children's garden that sells drinks (hot and cold), snacks, ready meals that the staff can heat up for you after paying.  Parents can rest at the amphitheatre while keeping an eye on the kids.
